Focus and Scope
Dear Readers and Authors!
Russian Journal of Biopharmaceuticals was founded in 2009 year. The main goal of this periodical is to attract attention to the biopharmaceutical production which now grows very rapidly even surpassing the traditional pharmacy.
Biopharmacy is the technology of production and utilizing for therapeutic and prophylactic needs of complex macromolecules, existing in living beings, but manufactured by means of biotechnological methods such as recombinant DNA, hybridomas, cell culture.
The scope of the Russian Journal of Biopharmaceuticals covers as follows:
- Fundamental researches in the field;
- Biopharmaceuticals such as recombinant proteins, vaccines, plasma proteins, therapeutic monoclonal antibodies;
- Biotechnology of eukaryotic and prokaryotic expression;
- Technological methods and hardware implementation in such processes as cell cultivation, separation, chromatography, ultra and micro filtration and so on;
- In-process control and analytical methods in biopharmacy;
- Intellectual property;
- Economy and management solutions;
- Technology of the production of final drug forms;
- Pre-clinical and clinical investigations;
- Manpower training including postdoctoral training;
- Practical approaches of the biopharmaceutical preparations;
- Standardization of the preparations, registration of the drug forms.
Readership includes primary: patient care institutions, drug form manufacturers, health control institutions, pharmaceutists, research institutions, institutes of higher education with profile departments.
The Journal publishes the articles in Russian as well as in English in order to cover broadly the potential readership and authorship.

Peer Review Process
After a manuscript draft was submitted by Author Editors email selected Reviewers the title and abstract of the submission, as well as an invitation to log into the journal web site to complete the review. Reviewers enter the journal web site to agree to do the review, to download submissions, submit their comments, and select a recommendation. Then, Editors email the answer to Author including the review and Editor's recommendation (if necessary).
The typical number of Revieweres for the each manuscript is one or two.
The time usually spent for the review is 3 weeks.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
